ProAct provides storage tank degassing services. Based in Texas, our team of specialists are trained and experienced in all aspects of vapor abatement. ProAct has been providing vapor treatment services across the US for over 14 years utilizing a variety of treatment options such as carbon adsorption, thermal/catalytic oxidation, and internal combustion. 

With the high concern over air emissions, the TCEQ has adopted more stringent regulations for control and reporting of these air emissions before and during tank cleaning operations.

ProAct understands the hazardous conditions that are created during tank cleaning, especially when dealing with high VOC concentrations. We’re ready to work with you to manage these vapors. With a focus on safety, ProAct utilizes a twin internal combustion engine system with a hydraulic load. This allows for a higher rate of vapor destruction. This process is used for gasoline, benzene, and other combustible volatile organic compounds.

Our degassing equipment is equipped with flame arrestors and fire control system and is suitable for use in refinery and tank farm sites. The unit operates under vacuum from the tank to the engines so there is no chance of a leak coming from the unit causing additional safety concerns. When it comes to reporting, the equipment will correctly measure the flow during the degassing event and record the data in a data logger. This data is provided to our clients in a project report including volumes treated, contaminants destroyed, and all other necessary data required under the TCEQ regulations.

Safety is a priority on every job site. Our staff is First Aid and 40 hour HAZWOPER trained and participates in medical monitoring and Drug & Alcohol testing. ProAct has an excellent OSHA safety record and is registered in ISNetworld and National Compliance Management Service.
